Why Do We Need Your Support?

Autism Reading Room is maintained by MindSpec, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) research organization. MindSpec consists of scientists and IT developers dedicated to uncovering molecular causes for autism spectrum disorders. We created Autism Reading Room to directly communicate cutting-edge scientific knowledge of autism to the general public.

Launched in April 2012, Phase I of Autism Reading Room was funded by seed money from MindSpec. It currently receives > 10,000 unique visitors per month from 160 countries. However, Autism Reading Room cannot continue to exist without the financial support of anyone touched by autism.

How Will Your Money Be Used?

Phase II of Autism Reading Room will include a Therapy section cataloging all treatment options available for ASD individuals, from childhood through adult years. To help guide affected families, each therapy type will be classified based on the strength of evidence published in peer-reviewed research.

All contributions will directly support production of the Therapy section by scientists, clinicians, and IT developers. With your generous support, we hope to release this valuable resource in 2013.
