Screening Tool for Autism in Toddlers and Young Children (STAT)
STAT is a 20-minute interactive screening measure that consists of 12 items and is designed to assess children of 24 to 36 months old. Unlike M-CHAT, which can be completed by a child’s parents, the STAT test is administered by community service providers who have experience with young children in an assessment or intervention setting.
STAT aims to assess important social and communication behaviors, such as imitation, play, requesting, and direction attention.
