Dr. Menashe writes for the “Trends” section of Autism Reading Room. He received his Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Bioinformatics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, where he investigated the genetic basis of human olfactory variability. In January 2007, Dr. Menashe joined the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) at the National Cancer Institute as a visiting fellow in Biostatistics. During his fellowship, he conducted descriptive and analytical studies of cancer epidemiology with an emphasis on pathway analysis of large-scale genetic data.
